From Monday 26th January 2009 to 30th January 2009 saw the Tidy Towns initiative roll into Pembroke Dock, the Pembroke Dock Chamber of Trade were pleased to get on board with there novel idea. The Chamber was to purchase yard brooms and issue one to each town centre business to encourage then to "Brush Up" the frontage of there premises. The first batch of brooms were issued on Thursday 29th January to the top of Dimmond Street by Mari Williams, Keep Wales Tidy, Chris Morris, Chamber Chair plus other members and were accompanied by your intrepid cameraman from the Pembroke Dock Community Web Project. The first issue of brooms was received with good humour and commitment to get into the habit of "Brushing Up" More brooms are on order and will be distributed soon
